About Rachie

I’ve wanted to try blogging for a very long time. There are certain aspects of myself that I’ve learned I need to make regular time for for my own personal happiness. I need: writing, art, cooking, gardening, exercise, science, singing, and a hefty amount of everyday imagination. I don’t function at top speed if I neglect nurturing any of these interests. Blogging isn’t only to satisfy my need for writing. I think blogging is wonderful because it also satisfies that deep rooted human need to share our lives with each other. So, hi! This is me! This is my life, and these are my adventures!

  2. Hey there Rachie! You started following my blog so I wanted to check out your blog and say, “Hi.” It sounds like we have a lot in common. Like you, I need to write, connect, cook and exercise everyday. I wish singing brought me joy, but I have such a lousy voice that it just doesn’t. Your blog looks fun – certainly more fun than the ho-hum of normal living. I look forward to reading your posts and getting to know you better!

    • Wonderful! Thank you! I’m glad you stopped by to say “hi”! I’m looking forward to reading your posts as well! I really want to add more veggie-dishes to my regular diet and I hope to try out your recipes!

  5. Hi Rachie! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me recently! πŸ˜‰
I love your down-to-earth writing style! Your awards post helped me get to know quite a bit about you, and gave me several new sites to check out, too. Yay!!
Isn’t the blogging community fantastic? So glad to ‘meet’ you – I look forward to spending more time checking out other posts of yours.

  6. Hi Rachel, good to meet you on here. Thank you for following my blog, I really appreciate it. I am looking forward to sharing some views and opinions with you in the future, you like a nice wide range of subjects as do I. Speak soon, regards James πŸ™‚

    • Lovely to meet you, James! It will be good to share thoughts back and forth. I found your “About” page quite interesting! Any updates on that unidentified lead token you found? The first thing I thought was that the roundish indents looked like bullet stamps. Then again, I don’t know the first thing about those things and hopefully I will learn something reading your blog!

  7. Hi Rachel, thank you for a lovely reply! I don’t know any more on the lead token, I cannot find any reference to it anywhere! It looks newer than the ‘cross and pellet’ one, but these tokens have been around since about the year 1300 and they are really hard to date (I don’t think these are that old, unfortunately). I wrote a post with more info on this:

I hope you find it interesting.

I really look forward to speaking more with you, regards James πŸ™‚
